Editorial Policies

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of the research published. CIJSS follows a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high similarity index may be rejected or returned for revision.

Authorship

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and approved the final version of the manuscript. Any changes to authorship after submission must be agreed upon by all co-authors.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research or review process. Individuals with conflicts of interest must recuse themselves when necessary.

Ethical Considerations

Research involving human participants or animals must comply with established ethical standards. Authors must confirm that appropriate ethical approvals were obtained and that informed consent was secured where applicable.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to make their research data publicly available and include a data availability statement. This promotes transparency, reproducibility, and further research development.

Corrections and Retractions

CIJSS will issue corrections for significant errors identified in published articles. In cases of serious misconduct or unreliable findings, articles may be retracted. Authors must promptly notify the journal of any errors discovered post-publication.

Open Access Policy

CIJSS follows a gold open access model, ensuring that all articles are freely accessible online without subscription barriers. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.

Repository Policy

Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version (publisher’s PDF) of their articles in institutional or other repositories immediately after publication.

Publication Fees

To support open-access publishing, a publication fee may be charged. Details regarding fees are clearly provided on the journal’s website.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting CIJSS the right to publish. All articles are distributed under the CC BY 4.0 license, enabling wide dissemination and reuse with proper citation.

Misconduct and Ethical Violations

CIJSS takes all allegations of misconduct seriously, including plagiarism, data fabrication, and ethical violations. Appropriate actions will be taken following investigation.

Transparency in Review and Publication

The journal is committed to transparency in editorial and peer review processes. Reviewer comments, editorial decisions, and author responses are documented to ensure accountability and clarity.
