Editorial Process

Submission

Manuscript Submission: Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online submission portal. All submissions must strictly follow the prescribed formatting and submission requirements outlined by the journal.

Initial Evaluation

Preliminary Screening: Upon receipt, the editorial office conducts an initial assessment to verify whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to its submission guidelines. Submissions that fail to meet these basic requirements may either be returned to the authors for correction or declined at this stage.

Peer Review

Editor Allocation: A subject-matter editor with relevant expertise is assigned to manage the review process.

Reviewer Selection: The handling editor appoints a minimum of two independent reviewers who possess specialized knowledge in the relevant discipline. These reviewers are invited to provide an objective and comprehensive assessment of the manuscript.

Review Process: Manuscripts are evaluated based on criteria such as originality, methodological soundness, scholarly significance, clarity of presentation, and overall contribution to the field. Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Acceptance
  • Acceptance with minor or major revisions
  • Revision and resubmission
  • Rejection

Decision-Making

Editorial Decision: The assigned editor makes a decision based on the reviewers’ reports. Where revisions are necessary, the manuscript is returned to the authors along with constructive feedback for improvement.

Revision and Resubmission: Authors are expected to revise their manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ and editor’s suggestions and submit the updated version for further consideration. Additional rounds of review may be conducted if required.

Final Decision: After evaluating the revised manuscript and any subsequent reviewer feedback, the editor issues a final decision, which may result in either acceptance or rejection.

Publication

Copyediting and Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts undergo a thorough copyediting process to address grammatical, typographical, and formatting issues.

Publication: The finalized manuscript is published online in Communeglobal International Journal of Social Sciences (CIJSS). As an open-access journal, all published articles are made freely available to a global readership.

Post-Publication

Indexing and Archiving: Published works are indexed in appropriate academic databases and archived in recognized repositories to ensure broad visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation.
